I know when I was in the thick of my illness, befo I know when I was in the thick of my illness, before I got to where I am now it felt impossible that I'd ever feel normal again.

I spent years struggling with crippling fatigue, limiting my life in ways I could never have imagined.

And whilst I always held out hope for improvement, I don't think I ever really believed that I'd be able to do everything I used to before I got sick.

There are times now when I take what I do on a daily basis for granted and then there are other times that I sit back and am amazed by what I've done.

Take this week for instance:�

- I have family visiting
- I've skied 3 times so far this week with them
- I've walked the dogs daily
�- I've worked whilst they've been here
- I've attended my weekly strength training class (after skiing all afternoon)
- I've cooked every night (and shopped in advance)
- I picked them up from the bus station (over an hours drive away)

For most people this probably wouldn't seem like a lot, but for me just doing one of these things would have wiped me out for weeks prior to recovering my health.

And I plan to ski again with them tomorrow before taking them back to the bus station on Friday, and whilst I might be a little more tired than usual, as it's more than I tend to do in a week, I know it's not going to floor me, in fact nowhere near that.

So if you're in a tough spot right now and feeling like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, please don't give up.
